About This Project

In his role as Marks Barfield’s project director, Steven was responsible for the concept design and integration of content created by Imagination.

The FCO held an invited competition to create a world class pavilion to showcase the UK at the World Expo, Shanghai 2010.

Based on the concept of growth,  we proposed a series of interconnected ‘trees’ that would each contain content of a particular theme. When the Expo was over, each tree would be demounted and rebuilt in a different part of China to act as a centre within which the dialogue with the UK could continue.
