About This Project
The Live Work Villa is designed as temporary accomodation and work space for creative teams engaged in television and film production.
The couryard arrangement allows for double fronted accomodation and cross ventilation throughout. The concrete structure provides thermal mass to keep the space cool during the day and warm in the evening. Naturally lit and shaded with perforated aluminium screens, the building is designed to provide privacy for its occupants whilst retaining an open, informal atmosphere within.
The finishes are hard wearing, in keeping with the nature of the work they are designed to facilitate; but retain a warm and tactile quality to encourage a feeling of comfort and well-being.
